The Seven Last Words Op. 51

We are very excited to announce that Ambrosian Strings will be performing Haydn’s profoundly emotional music – his response to Christ’s 7 last words on the cross – at St Mary the Virgin Church in St Marychurch on 15th April.

Internationally acclaimed Artist, Sarah Beckett’s work (7 pictures, inspired by Haydn’s music) will be displayed on the 85 inch screens throughout the church.

The music will be interjected by readings from Mark Strand’s Poem “After the Seven Last Words”.
